Legacy Recovery & Remarketing Services has deep roots in the repossession business, dating back to 1959 where it all started in a small Schenectady, New York office office building under the name of Professional Adjustment Agency. It was in those early days that, Edward F. Dunleavy, forged the future success of our company by making a commitment to excellence and building a reputation based on professionalism, ethics, and quality customer service.

Three generations later, Legacy Recovery & Remarketing Services was born.

Legacy Recovery directly services New York State, parts of Vermont and Massachusetts, and has a National Recovery Department that is made up of a strong network of professional recovery agents across the country and throughout the world, allowing us to recover collateral no matter where it is.

Legacy Auto Auction is a division of our company that focuses on liquidating assets for our client partners. We utilize an online platform to advertise and sell vehicles weekly.
